Societal challenges are increasingly analysed by the United Nations’ to create their Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

ACTRONICS focuses on three goals relevant to our core activities and business operations: SDG8, SDG12 and SDG13. With these in mind, we align with the global sustainable development agenda and strive to have a positive impact on society.

SDG8: Decent work and economic growth

At ACTRONICS we strive for a sustainable and inclusive working environment, where employees feel they can develop themselves.

Some of our actions include:

  • Training for personal and professional development of employees
  • Safety programs and measures (NEN9140) in the workplace
  • Cooperation with Discover HighTech Almelo to inspire young people for technology
  • Equal opportunities for all employees, regardless of background or characteristics.

SDG12: Responsible consumption and production

At ACTRONICS we are actively pursuing a circular economy, both within our own operations and across the automotive industry.

Some of our actions include:

  • Minimise waste streams and save raw materials through our remanufacturing technology
  • Develop EV remanufacturing techniques for sustainable long-term mobility
  • Reuse and recycle materials such as components, metals and household waste

SDG13: Climate Action

SDG13

At ACTRONICS we are taking concrete measures to reduce our ecological footprint and reduce our impact on the environment, and climate.

Our contributions so far include:

  • Energy Label A+++++
  • Making our vehicle fleet more sustainable with EVs and charging stations
  • Implementation of 400 solar panels
  • Vertical gardens to promote air quality
  • Improving energy efficiency using LED lighting
